Upcoming Meeting Descriptions

About Our Meetings

Our meetings are coordinated from the INCA Meetup Group. Please join for automatic notifications and reminders.

Monthly meetings are free and open to the public. Networking starts at 5:30 p.m., introductions and announcements follow at 6:30 p.m. Meetings generally end around 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. Pizza, snacks, soda and juice are available during the meeting.

Let us know what types of speaking topics are of interest to you for upcoming meetings. Private sector speakers at past meetings have included successful inventors, and experts in: marketing, branding, patenting, licensing, prototyping, venture capital, and entrepreneurship. Speakers at past meetings have also included government officials from the US Patent & Trademark Office of Independent Inventors Program and US federal and state government small business assistance programs.

Venue Information

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Most INCA meetings will be at the US Patent & Trademark (USPTO) headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, but please click on the above links to double check the venue. Normally networking will be from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Announcements will start at 6:30 pm and then be followed by the speaker introduction.

The normal meeting address is USPTO West Madison Building, 600 Dulany St, Alexandria, VA 22314. The meeting location is on the lower level of the West Madison building in the cafeteria seating area across from the large conference rooms.

Note that the Madison building has a large glass atrium. If you enter the Madison building from the south, off of Eisenhower Avenue, the stairs at this entrance lead you down to the lower level. If you enter from the north main entrance, off of Dulany Street, at street level you have to go down one level once inside.

The King Street and Eisenhower Avenue Metro Stations are the most convenient Metro stops for the USPTO.

The USPTO’s east and west parking garages have stairways that go down to the lower level. These garages typically cost ten dollars to park in for the average INCA meeting length. Two hour street parking is also available.

See our Past Meetings and Past Newsletters page for more details.

Keep up with future meeting topics and schedules by periodically visiting our website for updates and meeting announcements. For more automated ways of finding out what we have planned for upcoming events you can sign up to our INCA Google Group which functions similarly to an email list serve.

For announcements about additional upcoming events join the Inventors Network of the Capital Area Meetup Group or join/visit the INCA Google Group.
